The Sul Ross State University College of Education will host Ashlie Crosson, the 2025 National Teacher of the Year, for a special Poindexter Lecture Series event on Monday, October 20, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Espino Center on the Sul Ross campus.
The event is free and open to the public, with both in-person and virtual attendance options available. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, prizes, and an opportunity to hear Crosson share her journey in education and insights on inspiring the next generation of learners.
Sul Ross officials said the lecture is an opportunity for students, educators, and community members to engage with one of the nation’s most distinguished teachers.
“Whether you’re an aspiring educator, a student, or simply passionate about learning, this is an event you don’t want to miss,” the university said in a statement.
