Students at Marfa High School are diving into hands-on science thanks to Environmental Science teacher Mrs. Donaldson.
In a recent project, students collected flowers — and even a few insects — from around campus and created pressed flower mounts to showcase in class. The activity blended creativity with scientific exploration, giving students a chance to study the beauty of nature up close while developing observation and preservation skills.
The project highlights Marfa ISD’s commitment to hands-on learning and curiosity-driven education, encouraging students to connect science with the world around them.
