Marfa Rallies to Support Rojas Family, Raises Nearly $5,000

The Marfa community has come together in a big way, raising just under $5,000 to help the Rojas family, whose child is battling cancer.

The Presidio County Sheriff’s Office and the Thin Blue Line Charity hosted a brisket taco plate fundraiser that drew strong local support. Residents showed up in force to purchase meals, donate, and stand behind one of their own.

In a message to the community, the organizers wrote:

“Thank you, Marfa. No one fights alone.”

Funds raised will go directly to help the family cover medical costs as they continue this difficult journey. The show of support underscores what makes this community special—neighbors standing up for neighbors when it matters most.
