Savannah Woodward Named Director of Pecos Convention & Visitors Bureau

The Town of Pecos City has appointed Savannah Woodward as the new Director of the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), bringing fresh energy and experience to the role.

A native of Texarkana, Woodward relocated to West Texas four years ago and now calls Pecos home alongside her husband, who works for the Reeves County ESD, and their young son. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M Texarkana and recently earned her MBA in December 2024.

Woodward previously served as Director of Special Events at the University of Texas Permian Basin, where she built strong community partnerships and led successful event initiatives. Her background spans marketing, communications, and event planning—skills she now brings to Pecos with the goal of enhancing both tourism and local quality of life.

As CVB Director, Woodward says she’s focused on ensuring that visitors and residents alike experience all Pecos has to offer, from its deep-rooted heritage to its growing opportunities. Her mission aligns with the CVB’s goal to boost civic pride and promote Pecos as a vibrant destination.
