Wassermann Wranch Temporarily Closes to the Public Through September for Upgrades and Reflection

Wassermann Wranch announced it will temporarily close to the public through September 2025, citing a need to reflect, regroup, and make improvements following a year of significant transitions.

Owners Scott and Heidi Wassermann shared the update in a public statement, noting both “planned changes and major unplanned changes” that have affected the Wranch so far in 2025. The announcement referenced the loss of some animals and the arrival of new ones, prompting a reassessment of operations and public offerings.

“Our store in town, Wassermann’s, will remain open,” the statement clarified, “but Wassermann Wranch will be closed to the public through September 2025.”

During the closure, the team plans to focus on infrastructure and animal care, including building new fences, revamping enclosures, and continuing training efforts. They indicated a fall reopening is planned, with new offerings expected.

“When we reopen, we will be refocused on our one and only goal: We want Wassermann Wranch to be a blessing to others,” the message read.

The Wranch, which has been in operation for over a decade, has become a local fixture in Alpine. The owners expressed gratitude to their supporters and said they are looking forward to “many more” years of serving the community.
