Marfa ISD junior high and high school principal Candy Dominguez has resigned, less than a year after taking the role. Her resignation was accepted by the school board on March 25, according to board documents reviewed by The Big Bend Sentinel. Dominguez had stepped into the position after a yearlong vacancy and cited accomplishments in discipline, attendance enforcement, and student engagement in her resignation letter. No reason for her departure was listed.
