Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is hiring a Park/Historic Site Superintendent IV to lead operations at Balmorhea State Park. The full-time position offers a monthly salary between $6,654.73 and $7,654.73 and includes on-site housing.
Located at 9207 TX-17 South in Toyahvale, the superintendent role involves managing park operations, preserving cultural and natural resources, overseeing budgets and concessions, supervising staff, coordinating public programs and special events, and ensuring visitor safety and satisfaction.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in areas such as natural or cultural resource management, maintenance, interpretation, or public safety, with at least three years in a supervisory role. A valid Texas driver’s license is required.
Preferred candidates will have a degree in a related field such as park administration, wildlife science, or history, and experience in park operations, budget management, and personnel supervision.
