Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is hiring a Custodian II for Balmorhea State Park. The temporary position offers full-time, fluctuating hours with a pay rate of $16.73 per hour.
Located at 9207 TX-17 South in Toyahvale, the role involves general custodial duties, including cleaning and maintaining park facilities, equipment, and grounds. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash disposal, and assisting park visitors. The position may also include light maintenance and report preparation.
Applicants must have completed 8th grade and have at least six months of experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or custodial work. A valid Texas driver’s license is required within 30 days of employment.
Work schedules vary and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hours may shift between part-time and full-time based on operational needs, especially during peak season from March through September.
