Sul Ross Meat Market Offers Hands-On Learning and Fresh Meat for West Texas

Open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., the market serves as an educational space where students learn about meat production and food safety. The market’s selection includes ground beef for $8 per pound, ribeye steaks starting at $15 per pound, and specialty cuts such as filet mignon at $22 per pound. Lamb options, including ground lamb at $7 per pound and loin chops at $15.50 per pound, are also available.
