The Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Office has announced a public auction of real estate properties seized for unpaid taxes. The auction will take place on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 1:30 PM at the courthouse door in Fort Davis.
The sale, ordered by the 394th Judicial District Court of Jeff Davis County, includes multiple tracts of land ranging from 10 to over 32 acres, located throughout the county. The auction aims to satisfy judgments for unpaid property taxes, interest, penalties, and court costs.

1. 20 acres in Last Frontier Ranch
- Cause No. CV1602519
- This property, located in Sections 80 and 81, Block 5 of the H & T C Railroad Company Survey, includes two tracts (51 and 52). It is detailed in a Warranty Deed recorded in Volume 101, Pages 534–536 of the county’s public records.
2. 32.3 acres in the Denison and Pacific Railway Company Survey
- Cause No. CV1602521
- Situated in Section 90, Block 3, this property includes multiple smaller tracts (2–6). It is described in a Warranty Deed recorded in Volume 164, Page 178 of the county’s official records.
3. Eight 10-acre tracts in Green Valley Acres
- Cause No. CV1702573
- These tracts, numbered 31–38, are part of Unit 55 in Green Valley Acres. Each 10-acre tract is detailed in a Deed of Sale recorded in Volume 186, Page 570.
4. Two 20.03-acre lots in the Mary A. Wiley Survey
- Cause No. CV2202708
- These lots (14 and 22) are part of Section 1013, East Part of the Mary A. Wiley Survey. Both are detailed by metes and bounds in Warranty Deeds recorded in Volume 194, Pages 987 and 990.
Auction Terms and Conditions
All properties will be sold “as-is, where-is” with no warranties regarding title, condition, or suitability for any particular use. Buyers assume all risks and are encouraged to conduct thorough due diligence before bidding.
