The Fort Stockton Chamber of Commerce has officially announced the opening of nominations for the prestigious 2024 Outstanding Citizen of the Year award. This annual honor recognizes local individuals who have demonstrated exceptional community spirit and a lifelong commitment to enhancing Fort Stockton.
Criteria and Selection Process: The award celebrates not only the nominee’s involvement and leadership within the community but also their personal and business achievements. Successful candidates will have shown exemplary cooperation with both individuals and civic organizations, and their contributions to various community activities and civic enterprises will be thoroughly evaluated. Sponsor references will also play a crucial role in the decision-making process.
An anonymous committee, specially selected for this purpose, will review all nominations. This committee will judge each nominee based on their service to the community, the nature of their achievements, and their overall impact on the betterment of Fort Stockton.
Nomination Details: Those interested in nominating a community member can download and print the nomination form available here. Completed forms must be submitted to the Fort Stockton Chamber of Commerce in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Nomination – Outstanding Citizen.”

- Nomination Deadline: 5 PM, Friday, February 7, 2025. Please note that no nominations will be accepted after this date.
- Award Announcement: The recipient of the Outstanding Citizen of the Year will be announced during the Annual Chamber Banquet on February 27, 2025.
