The Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute is gearing up to welcome visitors to its Annual BBQ and Auction Fundraiser at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center and Botanical Gardens on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Gates will open at 3:45 p.m., and the $30 ticket price includes entry to the event’s various activities. The fundraiser features a silent auction starting at 4:00 p.m., followed by a live auction at 5:00 p.m., and concludes with a BBQ dinner at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased securely online here.
Pre-paid tickets will be available for pick-up at the will-call table located in front of the Powell Visitor Center on the afternoon of the event. Attendees can enjoy live music and BBQ catered by Sanchez BBQ of Fort Davis, Texas. Martin Stringer will serve as the auctioneer for both the silent and live auctions, which will feature local art, antiques, and adventure experiences.
