Gear Up for Adventure: The 46th Annual Fort Davis Cyclefest Bike Tour Unveils Scenic Rides and Thrilling Climbs in Texas

Calling all cycling enthusiasts! The 46th Annual Fort Davis Cyclefest Bike Tour is set to kick off next month, offering two thrilling days of scenic rides, challenges, and celebration. Held in the breathtaking “Texas Alps” in Fort Davis, Texas, Cyclefest has been recognized as one of the best and most picturesque bike tours in the State.

This year’s event spans September 16-17, 2023, and begins with packet pick-up at Prude Ranch from 5-10 PM on Friday, September 15. Riders will have the opportunity to take on three distance routes: 27, 55, and 76 miles, departing from Prude Ranch at 8:00 AM on Saturday, September 16. For those seeking a challenge, the tour offers rugged hills, while novices can enjoy more accommodating routes.

Following Saturday’s ride, participants are invited to unwind and celebrate at the Prude Ranch Patio from 11:00 AM to 4:00-ish PM, with the last rest stop closing and SAG stopping at 3:30 PM.

Sunday brings the chance to race to the top of Mt. Lock in a gripping 6-mile hill climb, commencing sharply at 9:00 AM. The day’s excitement begins with hill climb number pick-up at Solar Panels at 8:00 AM, with prizes to be collected at the solar panels following the race.
