Scoop of Support: Fort Davis Church of Christ Hosts Back-to-School Supplies Drive and Ice Cream Party

The Fort Davis Church of Christ is taking the lead in ensuring that children have the tools they need to succeed in the upcoming school year. They have officially kicked off their Back-to-School Supplies Drive, inviting the community to help support local students.

Donations of school supplies can be dropped off at the Chamber of Commerce office or by reaching out directly to Myra Meads at 432-249-1208. For those wishing to contribute financially, checks can be made to Fort Davis Church of Christ.

The efforts of the community will culminate in a special event that combines education with celebration. The School Supplies Pick Up Party will be held on Sunday, August 20th, from 5-7 PM at Fort Davis Church of Christ. Children and families can come to collect the supplies and enjoy a delightful Ice Cream Party provided by the Caboose.

Education is a cornerstone of every community, and this drive presents an opportunity for neighbors to come together and ensure that no child is without the essential tools for learning. Whether it’s pencils, notebooks, or a scoop of ice cream, every contribution adds to the success of the initiative.

The Fort Davis Church of Christ is extending a heartfelt thank you to all those who choose to support children and their education. By working together, the community is not only equipping students with necessary materials but also building connections and fostering a spirit of generosity.

Mark the date and be part of this joyous occasion. Your participation in the supplies drive and the Pick Up Party can make a lasting impact on a child’s educational journey. Together, we can make going back to school a sweet experience for everyone involved.
