A woman was arrested on a felony drug allegation early Saturday, Oct. 24, after a Jeff Davis County sheriff’s deputy responded to a disabled vehicle along Interstate 10.

According to the Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy assigned to Operation Stonegarden was dispatched to the vehicle near mile marker 180 at approximately 3:23 a.m.

The deputy contacted the driver, identified as Aaliyah Magruder. Authorities said a subsequent investigation revealed that Magruder was in possession of narcotics, leading to her arrest.

Magruder was transported to the Hudspeth County Jail.

The sheriff’s office did not specify the type or quantity of narcotics allegedly discovered, the exact felony charge or the circumstances that led to the discovery.
