The Sul Ross State University Club Golf Team will host a fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 17, featuring golf competitions, prizes and food to support the university’s club golf program.
The event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. at The Club, located at 2801 E. U.S. Highway 90 in Alpine.
Participants will have the opportunity to compete in closest-to-the-pin and longest-drive competitions, with prizes available for the winners.
Organizers are encouraging community members, golf enthusiasts and Sul Ross supporters to attend and help support the team.
Frito chili pie will also be available for purchase during the event.
The fundraiser offers an opportunity for Alpine residents and members of the Sul Ross community to support student golfers while enjoying an afternoon of friendly competition.
The event is open to those interested in supporting the team, whether they participate in the competitions or simply attend to show their support.
The fundraiser is scheduled to conclude at 5 p.m. Saturday.
