Marfa Independent School District brought students, families, local organizations and community members together Thursday for a community celebration highlighting student success and the district’s schools.
The event drew residents to celebrate Marfa ISD students and recognize the families, volunteers and organizations that support them.
Photos shared by the district show a crowd gathered near the Marfa ISD track complex, along with students and cheerleaders participating in the celebration.
Marfa ISD thanked those who attended and said the gathering reflected the close relationship between the district and the broader Marfa community.
The district said the event focused on encouraging students to pursue their goals, strive for excellence and take pride in their accomplishments.
“One Community. One School. One Goal. Student Success!” the district said in its message following the celebration.
