Marfa Independent School District has announced its 2026 Homecoming Court, recognizing students selected to represent their classmates during the district’s Homecoming celebrations.
The court includes a duke and duchess from each of the freshman, sophomore and junior classes.
Freshmen MariCarmen Avila and Axel Urrutia were selected as freshman duchess and duke. Sophomores Liliana Zubia and Seth Nunez were named sophomore duchess and duke, while juniors Alyssa Harden and Diego Sanchez-Bravo were selected as junior duchess and duke.
Marfa ISD congratulated the students and said the Homecoming Court will be celebrated as the district marks a week of school traditions and Shorthorn spirit.
The district’s Homecoming activities are being held under its familiar “Ride for the Brand. Elevate Excellence.” message.
