The Sul Ross State University Rodeo Team will host the 81st annual Sul Ross College Rodeo from Sept. 24-26 at the S.A.L.E. Arena in Alpine.
Rodeo performances will begin at 7 p.m. nightly during the three-day event, which brings collegiate competitors to West Texas for traditional rodeo events.
General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children and senior citizens. Sul Ross students and faculty members will receive free admission with a university identification card.
Tickets will be sold at the gate.
The Sul Ross College Rodeo is part of the university’s longstanding Western heritage and rodeo tradition. Sul Ross is recognized as the birthplace of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, which was organized in Alpine in 1949.
The S.A.L.E. Arena is on the Sul Ross State University campus in Alpine.
