Fort Stockton High School Student Council hosts ‘5th Quarter’ after Friday football game

The Fort Stockton High School Student Council will host a “5th Quarter” gathering Friday night following the Panthers football game.

The event is scheduled for Aug. 28 at the FSHS softball field and will run after the game until midnight. Students and community members are invited to attend for food and games and are encouraged to bring chairs.

Free watermelon will be available after the game while supplies last, provided by Mandujano Brothers Produce.

The event is supported by several community sponsors, including Fort Stockton Independent School District, the Pecos County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Stockton Volunteer Fire Department, Mandujano Brothers Produce, APEX Energy, Red Shear Salon, Heritage Real Estate, Lone Star Ice, Walmart No. 897 and West Texas Portraits.

The Student Council billed the event as a way for the community to continue supporting the Panthers after the final whistle.
