Ojinaga Mayor Lucy Marrufo on Monday launched construction of a new cell at the municipal sanitary landfill, a project intended to improve the city’s capacity to safely manage and dispose of solid waste.
Marrufo marked the start of construction during an event at the landfill and thanked the Chihuahua state government for its support in making the project possible. She highlighted coordination between the municipal and state governments in addressing Ojinaga’s infrastructure needs.
The new cell will expand the landfill’s capacity for the proper disposal of municipal waste and is part of the city administration’s efforts to improve public services and infrastructure for Ojinaga residents.
