One of Alpine’s newest dining options is bringing tacos, fajitas, quesadillas and other Tex-Mex favorites to East Holland Avenue.
Big Bend Tacos is located at 301 E. Holland Ave. in the heart of Alpine and bills itself as serving authentic Tex-Mex made fresh daily.
The restaurant’s menu features al pastor, chicken fajitas, beef fajitas and carne asada. Quesadillas are available with al pastor, carne asada or chicken. The carne asada offering comes with corn ribs, chile toreado and caramelized onions, while corn ribs are also available as an add-on with quesadillas.
Big Bend Tacos embraces its West Texas setting in both its branding and its food. Its logo features a taco surrounded by flames over the shape of Texas, while the restaurant promotes its food under the slogan “Flamin’ Good Tacos.”
The restaurant describes its Alpine home as a place where the Chihuahuan Desert meets West Texas culture and flavor, inviting customers to “come hungry, leave happy.”
Big Bend Tacos is currently open from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. It is closed Sunday and Monday. The evening schedule gives Alpine residents and visitors another dinner option along the Holland Avenue corridor.
The restaurant joins Alpine’s mix of locally owned eateries and adds another choice for Mexican and Tex-Mex food in the Big Bend region.
