The West Texas BBQ Bash will return to Monahans this fall, bringing barbecue competition, live music, a car show, vendors and family activities to the Ward County Sports Complex.
The seventh annual West Texas BBQ Bash is scheduled for Oct. 17 at the complex, 801 S. Helen Ave. Admission is free to the public.
Organizers say the event draws thousands of people and brings together barbecue teams, businesses, families and visitors from across West Texas while supporting local charities and first responders.
The Monahans Chamber of Commerce announced it is sponsoring this year’s event and is encouraging area businesses to participate by entering barbecue teams, becoming sponsors, donating products or services, or volunteering.
In addition to the barbecue competition, the event is slated to feature live music, a People’s Choice BBQ contest, a car show, vendors and shopping, and family activities.
Teams interested in competing can register through the West Texas BBQ Bash website. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and organizations.
