Sul Ross State University alumni are seeking donations to help complete a new Alumni Pavilion, with organizers saying the project is expected to be finished in time for the university’s 2026 homecoming celebration.
The fundraising effort was announced by the Sul Ross State University Friends group, which thanked donors who have already contributed toward construction of the pavilion.
Organizers said additional donations are still needed to finish the project. Donors will have their names included on a commemorative plaque that will be permanently displayed next to the pavilion, regardless of the size of their contribution.
“Your generosity is helping create something that will serve generations of Lobos to come,” organizers said in announcing the fundraising push.
A promotional image accompanying the campaign shows the pavilion under construction and encourages alumni and other supporters to contribute toward its completion.
The pavilion is being promoted as a gathering place for the Sul Ross community and as a lasting alumni legacy on the Alpine campus.
Organizers said the goal is to have construction completed before Homecoming 2026. Donations can be made through the QR code included with the Alumni Pavilion fundraising campaign.
