A pickup truck pulling a trailer loaded with hay bales overturned Saturday afternoon on the Ojinaga-Chihuahua highway, according to witnesses.
The crash occurred at about 1 p.m. near the community of Potrero del Llano, also known as La Mula.
Witnesses said the pickup came to rest upside down beside the roadway. The trailer also overturned, scattering hay bales across portions of the pavement and roadside ditch.
No injuries were reported despite the severity of the crash, according to people at the scene.
Area residents and passing motorists stopped to assist and helped remove some of the hay bales from the roadway.
Roadside assistance and civil protection personnel were notified to recover the vehicle and clear the highway. Drivers traveling through the area were urged to slow down and use caution.
