Reeves County is moving forward with plans for a $54.5 million indoor water park in Pecos, according to recently published construction information.
Plans call for a 67,675-square-foot recreation facility near County Road 118. The development is expected to include water slides and other aquatic attractions, leisure and recreation areas, concessions, locker rooms and support spaces.
Reeves County has requested proposals for the design, engineering, installation and commissioning of the park’s aquatic features, including a water-slide complex, play structures and spray attractions.
The county has been developing the water park project for several years and held a kickoff meeting in April 2025. Earlier descriptions placed the proposed facility near the county-owned Cyclone Ballparks, along with a potential hotel development.
Construction is expected to begin in fall 2026, according to promotional information circulating about the project.
