A 20-year-old man was killed in a vehicle crash early Sunday on Interstate 20 near Pecos, according to his family.
The victim was identified as Alex Holguín. Relatives and friends are mourning his death and have launched a fundraiser to help cover funeral expenses and other costs arising from the tragedy.
Holguín’s aunt, Yesenia Olivas, thanked the community for its support and asked people to keep the family in their prayers.
Those wishing to contribute may send donations through Zelle at (432) 813-1480 or through a GoFundMe campaign created for the family.
Relatives said any donation, regardless of the amount, would help the family during this difficult time. They also encouraged people who are unable to donate to share the fundraiser.
Holguín is being remembered fondly by his family, friends and others who knew him.
