A serious crash involving a vehicle fire was reported early Sunday on the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 near mile marker 53, east of Pecos.
Video shared by the West Texas Oilfield Traffic Update showed flames and heavy smoke rising from the roadway as motorists approached the scene. Traffic appeared to be moving slowly past the crash.
Drivers traveling toward Pecos should expect delays and use caution as emergency crews respond.
Information about the vehicles involved, possible injuries and lane closures was not immediately available.
