Residents and visitors in Alpine can once again support local businesses while reducing waste through the city’s Alpine Coffee Club sustainability program.
Keep Alpine Beautiful and Visit Alpine, Texas announced the launch of the 2026 Alpine Coffee Club, a community initiative that encourages the use of reusable coffee mugs at participating local coffee shops. As part of the program, participants can receive a free limited-edition 2026 Coffee Club mug while supplies last.
The program was made possible through a 2026 Municipal Solid Waste Grant Award from the Rio Grande Council of Governments, funded through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s Regional Solid Waste Program.
Organizers thanked the Rio Grande Council of Governments for its support in helping expand local sustainability efforts and promote waste reduction throughout the community.
Community members interested in participating can visit the Alpine Visitor Center to learn more about the program and pick up a complimentary mug. Distribution is limited to one mug per person.
The annual initiative encourages customers to bring reusable mugs when purchasing beverages from participating coffee shops, helping reduce disposable cup waste while supporting local businesses.
