A benefit golf tournament scheduled for Aug. 15 at the Alpine Country Club will raise money to support Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Zach Vasquez during his recovery.
The Los Compas Golf fundraiser will feature a three-person scramble with morning and afternoon tee times. Organizers said all proceeds will go directly to Vasquez to help with expenses related to his recovery.
Morning tee times will begin at 7:30 a.m., with check-in starting at 7 a.m. Afternoon play will begin at 1:30 p.m., with check-in at 1 p.m.
Registration costs $75 per golfer or $225 for a three-person team. The tournament is limited to 54 teams, and prizes will be awarded to flight winners.
Checks should be made payable to Los Compas Golf.
