Talarico to hold U.S. Senate town hall in Eagle Pass

State Rep. James Talarico will hold a town hall meeting in Eagle Pass on July 13 as he continues his campaign for the U.S. Senate, according to an announcement from state Rep. Eddie Morales Jr.

The event is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the International Center for Trade, with doors opening at 6 p.m. Organizers are encouraging residents from across the region to attend and participate in the discussion.

In a social media post promoting the event, Morales said Talarico understands the importance of Texas border communities and described them as a key economic driver for the state. Morales also praised Talarico’s work on issues including insulin affordability, public education and support for working-class Texans.

The town hall comes as candidates and elected officials increasingly focus on South Texas and border-region voters ahead of future statewide elections. Eagle Pass has been at the center of national debates over immigration and border security in recent years, making it a significant stop for candidates seeking to connect with voters on issues affecting the region.

Morales said the event is open to people of all political viewpoints and encouraged attendees to hear directly from Talarico about his vision for Texas.

Registration information is available through the campaign’s event page.
