The Marfa Police Department will host a community fundraiser July 6 to support the recovery of Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Vasquez.
The event is scheduled for 5 p.m. Monday, July 6, at the Marfa Police Department, located at 220 W. San Antonio St. in Marfa.
According to organizers, all proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward Trooper Vasquez’s recovery. Attendees can purchase a hamburger meal that includes chips and a drink for $15.
A promotional flyer for the event features Trooper Vasquez alongside a police K-9 and notes that the fundraiser is being organized by the Marfa Police Department to assist with recovery-related expenses and support.
Community members are encouraged to attend and show their support for the trooper and his family during his recovery.
The fundraiser will begin at 5 p.m. and continue while supplies last.
