The Alpine Police Department is encouraging community members to roll up their sleeves and help save lives during a blood drive scheduled for Tuesday, June 30.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alpine Police Department, 309 W. Sul Ross Ave., in partnership with Vitalant Blood Donation Services.
Organizers say every blood donation can help patients facing medical emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments and other critical health needs. The drive is part of an ongoing effort to maintain a stable blood supply for hospitals and healthcare providers across the region.
The department is urging eligible donors to participate, emphasizing that a single donation can make a meaningful difference in the lives of multiple patients.
“Be a hero. Donate blood. Save lives,” the department said in promotional materials for the event.
Community members interested in donating are encouraged to bring a photo ID and arrive hydrated. Walk-ins may be accepted, though appointments are typically recommended through Vitalant.
The blood drive will take place at the Alpine Police Department, located at 309 W. Sul Ross Ave., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
