Adventure seekers looking to turn their love of the Big Bend region into a paycheck may have a new opportunity. Far Flung Outdoor Center, a longtime tourism and outdoor recreation business near Big Bend National Park, is hiring Jeep and ATV tour guides for its Terlingua operations.
According to a recent hiring announcement, pay starts at $15 per hour plus tips. The company said guides will currently work morning tours departing at 8 a.m., with the summer schedule expected to remain in place through mid-September.
Far Flung Outdoor Center has been a fixture in the Big Bend tourism industry for decades, offering guided river trips, Jeep excursions, ATV tours, lodging and other outdoor experiences for visitors exploring the rugged landscapes of Far West Texas. The company operates from its location along FM 170 near Terlingua and serves thousands of visitors each year.
