The Mexican Consulate in Presidio is inviting the community to gather at Casa Agave on Wednesday, June 11, to watch Mexico’s inaugural match against South Africa.
The watch party, themed “Vamos México,” is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Casa Agave, located at 101 O’Reilly St. in Presidio, according to promotional materials shared by the Consulate of Mexico in Presidio.
The event encourages attendees to “wear green” and join fellow supporters to celebrate and enjoy Mexico’s first match together.
The matchup will feature Mexico facing South Africa in what organizers describe as Mexico’s inaugural game. The event is being hosted in partnership with Casa Agave and other supporting organizations.
The Mexican Consulate in Presidio said the gathering is intended to bring the local community together in support of El Tri and celebrate Mexican culture through soccer.
