Jeff Davis County Library to Welcome New Director, Bid Farewell to Outgoing Leader

The Jeff Davis County Library will host a community reception next week to welcome incoming Library Director Jay Mann and bid farewell to outgoing Director Erin Ray.

The “Hail & Farewell” event is scheduled for June 17 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Jeff Davis County Library, located at 100 Memorial Square in Fort Davis.

Community members are invited to meet Mann, thank Ray for her service and enjoy light refreshments provided by the Friends of the Jeff Davis County Library.

Mann will take over leadership of the library as Ray departs the role. Organizers say the informal gathering is intended to give residents an opportunity to connect with both directors during the transition.

The Jeff Davis County Library serves residents of Fort Davis and surrounding communities and acts as a hub for educational programming, resources and local events.
