New law enforcement officers graduated from the Sul Ross State University Law Enforcement Academy in Alpine last week, with state officials emphasizing the role the recruits will play in serving communities across rural West Texas.
According to a social media post from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, TCOLE Executive Director Greg Stevens served as the keynote speaker during the academy’s graduation ceremony at Sul Ross State University.
“These new officers will be protecting and serving communities across the West Texas region,” the commission said in the post, congratulating graduates entering law enforcement careers.
