Residents of Jeff Davis County and surrounding communities will have access to a range of free health services later this month during a community health fair in Fort Davis.
The Fort Davis Health Fair is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, from 1 to 6 p.m. at 601 Cemetery Road in Fort Davis, according to event organizers.
Free services planned for the event include blood pressure checks, glucose screenings, school physicals, women’s health exams, ultrasounds, EKGs and general medical checkups.
The event is being organized by Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, according to promotional materials.
Organizers say the health fair is intended to provide accessible preventive care and screenings for community members, particularly in a rural region where access to some medical services can be limited.
