Children’s author Michael Birt to host book reading at Alpine Public Library

Children’s author and wildlife biologist Michael Birt will host a book reading for all ages at the Alpine Public Library on Thursday, June 4, at 2 p.m.

The event will take place in the library’s multipurpose room and will feature Birt reading from his books, which focus on wildlife, mystery and conservation themes aimed at younger audiences.

According to event information, Birt is a wildlife biologist, educator and entrepreneur dedicated to connecting people with nature through hands-on experiences, storytelling and conservation. Organizers said his children’s books bring real wildlife adventures to life through mystery stories intended to inspire future conservationists.

Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event. Large books will be sold for $22, while board books will be available for $14.

The Alpine Public Library is hosting the free event, which is open to readers of all ages.
