A regional motorcycle ride and community event known as the “Sky-Island Ride Pattern” is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, with riders expected to travel through parts of the Big Bend and Davis Mountains region, weather permitting.
According to event organizers, engines are set to start at 11 a.m. following a 10 a.m. Coffee & Cars gathering at Skelton’s Runway in Marfa.
The planned route includes stops through Marfa, Point of Rocks, Madera Canyon and Fort Davis, covering scenic mountain roads in the region.
Organizers said “The Hangar” event hub will feature live music, tailgate parties, contests, vendors, sports viewing, barbecue pits and pickers throughout the day. A Bike Night event featuring DJ Robert Alvarez is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
Additional food and drink offerings are expected to be available during the event, including cold drinks and local vendors.
The event is weather permitting and is expected to draw motorcycle enthusiasts and community members from across the region.
