The Fort Stockton Public Library is inviting area residents of all ages to take part in its annual Summer Reading Program, which officially begins Thursday, June 4, with a kickoff event at 6 p.m.
According to the library, registration remains open for the free program, which is designed to encourage reading throughout the summer through books, activities and special events aimed at inspiring a love of learning.
The program is open to participants of all ages and will include reading challenges and family-friendly programming during the summer months.
The library encouraged community members to join the effort and take advantage of the educational and recreational opportunities offered through the seasonal initiative.
