The Alpine Cowboys Pro Baseball Club will host the Alpine Cowboys Home Run 5K/10K fundraiser on Saturday, May 23, at Kokernot Field, inviting runners and community supporters to take part in an event benefiting the hometown baseball organization.
The public event is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. at Kokernot Field in Alpine and will feature both 5K and 10K race options. Organizers said the event is open to participants from across the region.
Hosted by the Alpine Cowboys Pro Baseball Club, the race is aimed at bringing the community together while supporting the team and its activities.
Registration is available online through Eventbrite, and organizers are encouraging participants to sign up ahead of race day. Community interest has already been strong, with more than 100 people indicating interest online.
The Alpine Cowboys, a longtime staple of summer baseball in Far West Texas, continue to host community-focused events at historic Kokernot Field as the organization prepares for another season of baseball and local engagement.
