Marfa ISD to host junior high, high school awards ceremony May 22

Marfa Independent School District will recognize student achievement during its Junior High and High School Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 22, at the Marfa Shorthorn Gym.

The event will celebrate academic excellence, dedication and accomplishments by junior high and high school students, with parents, families and community members invited to attend.

According to the district, the ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. with junior high awards, followed by high school awards at 10:45 a.m.

Awards are expected to recognize a variety of student accomplishments, including academic excellence, outstanding GPA, attendance awards, UIL academic honors and student achievement.

District officials said the event is intended to honor student success while celebrating the hard work and commitment of Marfa ISD students.
