Marfa ISD seniors to celebrate Class of 2026 with Chinati Senior Day

Seniors at Marfa Independent School District will spend a day celebrating friendship, reflection and the journey to graduation during Chinati Senior Day for the Class of 2026 on Tuesday, May 19, at the Chinati Foundation.

Marfa ISD’s graduating seniors will participate in a day of activities designed to celebrate their final year together, including senior photo sessions, custom Class of 2026 T-shirt creation, reflection activities and fellowship with classmates.

According to the district, the event will begin at 9:30 a.m. with student arrival and introductions, followed by a senior reflection activity at 10 a.m.

Students will take individual and group senior photos beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by a T-shirt design and photo selection activity at 11:30 a.m. Lunch and fellowship are planned from noon to 1 p.m., with shirt printing beginning at 1 p.m. The day concludes with departure at 3 p.m.

School officials said the event is intended to provide seniors an opportunity to celebrate memories, creativity and friendships as graduation approaches.

District leaders also thanked the Chinati Foundation for hosting the event, noting that the day is designed to help create lasting memories for the Class of 2026.

The annual senior celebration highlights the importance of community, reflection and shared experiences as Marfa High School seniors prepare for graduation next year.
