Marathon Songwriters Festival to bring Texas music talent to Marathon in August

The inaugural Marathon Songwriters Festival is set to bring a lineup of Texas and Americana music talent to Marathon this summer, with performances scheduled Aug. 6-8 at venues tied to The Gage Hotel and Brick Vault Brewery & BBQ.

The festival lineup includes Wade Bowen, Adam Wright, Leslie Jordan, Kelley Mickwee, Charlie Stout, Davis Naish, Josh Grider and Drew Kennedy.

Promotional materials describe the event as being presented by The Gage Hotel and Brick Vault Brewery & BBQ.

The festival adds another live music event to the Big Bend region’s growing calendar of destination entertainment offerings, drawing visitors to the small West Texas community known for its proximity to Big Bend National Park and its historic hospitality venues.

Organizers have not yet released a full performance schedule or ticketing details.
