The Fort Davis Independent School District has released its academic calendar for the 2026-27 school year, outlining key dates for students, staff and families.
According to the calendar, the first day of school for students will be Aug. 10, while the final day of classes is scheduled for May 27, 2027. Graduation is planned for May 28.
The calendar includes several scheduled holidays and breaks throughout the academic year, including Labor Day on Sept. 7, Thanksgiving break from Nov. 23-27 and Christmas break from Dec. 21 through Jan. 1.
Students and staff will also have a spring break from March 8-12.
Early release days are scheduled periodically throughout the year, including Sept. 17, Nov. 20, Dec. 18, Jan. 8, March 5 and May 7. Employee workdays are also built into the calendar, including Aug. 7, Oct. 12, Feb. 15 and May 28.
The district’s six-week grading periods are scheduled to conclude on Sept. 24, Nov. 6, Dec. 18, Feb. 12, April 8 and May 27.
Fort Davis ISD officials encouraged families to review the calendar carefully and plan ahead for holidays, breaks and important academic dates.
