A two-vehicle rollover accident was reported Wednesday afternoon along U.S. Highway 67 near the Elephant Rock landmark, according to the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene after a driver participating in the Transmigrante program lost control while towing another vehicle, causing both vehicles to overturn.
The driver was identified as 24-year-old Guillermo Maidique of Chicago. Authorities said Maidique sustained only minor injuries in the crash.
No other injuries were reported.
The incident remains under investigation, according to Chief Deputy Sheriff Joel Nunez Jr.
