Ojinaga announces subsidized ground corn assistance program

The municipality of Ojinaga announced the opening of a subsidized ground corn assistance program beginning Monday, May 11, aimed at supporting local residents through the city’s Department of Rural Development.

According to promotional materials released by the municipal government, the program will offer subsidized “maíz molido,” or ground corn, to qualifying residents.

Officials said registration and distribution activities are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Monday.

Residents seeking assistance must provide several documents, including a UPP document, voter identification card, proof of current residence and a CURP identification number.

The program is being coordinated through Ojinaga’s Department of Rural Development in partnership with the Chihuahua state government under the “Cuenta Conmigo” and “Más Chihuahua” initiatives.

City branding on the announcement identifies the current municipal administration as “Ojinaga Unidad y Trabajo con Visión 2024-2027.”
