An Earth Day celebration featuring a bike rodeo, safety course and family activities is scheduled for Monday evening at the Presidio Activity Center.
The free event will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Presidio Activity Center, 1200 E. O’Reilly St., and is hosted by the Texas Department of Transportation and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Organizers say attendees are encouraged to bring their bicycles to participate in a safety and fun course set up in the center’s parking lot. The event will also include free bike repairs and helmets, as well as a raffle for a bicycle.
Additional activities include music by DJ Denisse Ayay, along with food and refreshments such as hot dogs, popcorn and drinks.
The event is open to the public and aims to promote bike safety and environmental awareness in celebration of Earth Day.
