Students from Alpine Independent School District’s Future Farmers of America chapter earned top honors at a recent Big Bend District meeting, with two members elected to leadership positions.
Sophie Janis was elected 2026-27 District FFA president, while Kaysen Hardaway was elected district treasurer, according to a post from Alpine ISD.
The announcement highlights continued student involvement and achievement in agricultural education programs across the region.
The district also recognized students from Mr. Fox’s Food Technology class, who prepared and cooked meals for attendees at the district meeting. Their contributions supported the event’s operations and showcased hands-on learning in culinary and food service skills.
Alpine ISD officials praised both the elected FFA members and the students who assisted with the meeting, noting the role of career and technical education programs in building leadership and practical experience.
